"have anything to with RPGs" > "anything to do" "when he pick up the ringing phone" > "he picks"
Edit: and the "Home (500-Word Indies)" link at the bottom links to the image itself, not the page.

Speaking of Yume Nikki, apparently a 3D fan tribute was released recently. How many horror games have been made in RPG Maker, anyway? Seems like an odd use of the program.

I've read recently about Ao Oni, which seemed quite odd, and interesting, and fits the category.

Yeah, there definetely is some kind of "horror trend" within the Japanese RPG Maker communities. It dates all the way back to Corpse Party but still exists today, with games such as Ao Oni indeed. I wonder why it's still so popular, even after all those years... Maybe psychological horror just goes well with 16-bit visuals for some reason?

About Ao Oni; I jsut played it, and it's just as boring as any other RPG Maker game. I've yet to come across one of these that's actually nice.

Good article. I don't know much about these games outside of Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, so it's interesting to see the varied results from using the same tools... One minor error: From a commercial standpoint, the game wasn't really a huge it[...]
