After watching JonTron's review of the Dark Dungeons flick, seeing Chick's comic strips made me realize that I think I saw one as a kid. They were in a bottle floating in the water. Why, I'll never know, and that's kinda spooooky~

RIP singer and songwriter Leonard Cohen Yeah, I was gonna post the first verse from Everybody Knows cause it seemed appropriate, but one of the first things I saw on the Internet today was someone beating me to it. Still, great song. RIP.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the guy was a pretty brutal dictator, right?
I guess I shouldn't be surprised though that people would let political rhetoric get in the way of reality.

too bad that he died, the only one who could stop the US imperalism. He will be remembered as a hero.

Castro was no saint, sure, but calling him just a villainous dictator is waaayyy oversimplifying it. He was a complex man, receiving praise from the likes of Nelson Mandela and speaking passionately for the rights of developing countries and about the dangers of global warming, but he was also absolutely someone who clung to power nail and tooth and wasn't above abusing it. It's up to debate how much of Cuba's problems were directly or indirectly due to the embargo. Huffington Post has a good piece on the man.

Amen I agree that he was no saint, but he had done some important things, which are sadly forgotten. The Huffington Post link sums it up in a correctly way. Yours sincerely Jack Caeylin

Huffington Post has a good piece on the man.You say oversimplifying, I say that other stuff simply makes him a woeful hypocrite, actions speak louder than words. I admit though I'm not exactly an expert on Cuba, but he seems like he was a bad dude to me and I'm not exactly upset that he's gone.

I agree with Gamer Griff. For all the objectively good things he did, he remains a dictator who denied his citizens basic freedoms and rights.
If the truly believed in his ideology, then he was an extremely paternalistic ruler, to the point of oppression; and that is not OK for me.
But I'm not in the mood for political and philosophical discussions in a games' forum. I accept we all have different pointa of view.
