It's happened! SEGA officially announce new 3D classics!Yessssss!!! The possibility of buying Power Drift in digital form as a stand-alone 3D conversion... it's like a dream! ..It's not really breaking news, but as the guy says, the very existence of Puyo Puyo Tsu and Power Drift is in itself a third wave of conversions. (I really really really want to get Power Drift so bad...)

Do you have a more recent article? I haven't heard anything about them releasing those games outside of being bonuses on the 2nd physical compilation pack.

Haaahhhuuhhhhhnnno. No. Nothing really recent. I'm fueled strictly by my optimism and the existence of these games..

Man, you really got my hopes up, but that link just has information from last month about Sega 3D Fukkoku Archives 2.

Well it'd be pretty insane to not bring across Power Drift since it's DONE and 3ds Classics are popular.

You've gotta keep up the hope! Any day now, they'll announce western releases for Power Drift and Puyo Puyo 2, and they'll say they're making Virtua Racing and all of those Mega Drive games listed in the Giga Drive code, and they'll release them all on a cartridge along with the rest of the series, and they'll also port all of the best Genesis games that weren't on that list, like the Monster World games and the remaining Sonic games!
...actually, if we're really dreaming, I want them to get back to work on Salamander Rebirth.

I still demand Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Every time I see a compilation for a Genesis mini system or a handheld with a bunch of Genesis classics pre-installed, they omit Sonic 3. Why? It's my favorite Sonic game and for some reason they constantly omit it. Is there some sort of licensing issues or something? Do any of the other games on those collections offer game saving? If not it could be that it requires storage otherwise I have no idea (I've not owned any Genesis mini systems) because stuff like the Mega Drive collection has had Sonic 3 before. I never even thought about the game saving, that's a good point. I too have never owned the mini/portable Genesis collections so I'm not sure on the game saving aspect

HALLELUIAH! See, Sturat, I was right to dream... This is the news of the week, and even though I bought all the 3D classics, the mere presence of Power Drift, one of my all-time favorite, is enough for me to buy it. Akuma, you're the man! I was sure a physical version would come one day, and I was RIGHT! Happiness all around!

Now I'm on board. Very happy this is coming west, although I haven't heard word on a EU release yet, I'm guessing that will happen too.

When Sega said they had an announcement for classic game fans, I figured we'd just get a digital release of Power Drift, or if we were unlucky, they would announce more thrown-together Genesis ports from Backbone, but getting a full physical release of the second 3D Classics Archives with Puyo Puyo and the Master System games is just a great surprise, and I love those bonus 3DS themes, too!

I need this in physical form NOW

I'll double dip. I'm missing Thunder Blade of the returning games, but I feel there are enough new for me to care. I probably wouldn't buy the first collection for this reason.
They almost have enough games for a new collection. 1. Sonic 2 2. Streets of Rage 2 3. Gunstar Heroes 4. Super Hang-On 5. After Burner II
Remaining 3D Master System titles (Zaxxon 3D, Blade Eagle) Rumored list full of games like M.U.S.H.A., Shining Force, Comix Zone and Landstalker.
