To greenlight Shenmue III! The BBC show VideoGaiden is reporting on their website that in the coming weeks they are going to begin an aggressive campaign to demand Shenmue 3 from Sega. They seem to be communicating the idea that because they're part of BBC, a major force in the media, they will be able to get real answers from Sega about Shenmue 3. They're asking for support from all fans in their attempt to get some concrete info on the game's status. Hopefully more to come in the coming weeks. shenmue.planets.gamespy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32193Help continuing to spread the word to get Shenmue III made!

That's the most annoying thing I've ever heard of. I hate the vocal minority trying to push through development ideas.

Petitions never work.

If Shenmue made Sega enough money, they'd have already put a sequel out. Rabid, very loud fanboys do not pay a $10+ million budget.

*scratches* Hm...wasn't it the rabid, vocal fanboys that got Atlus to reprint Disgaea?

There's a massive cost difference between reprinting an already-published game and making a whole new one.

Yeah. I'm not even sure whether Rockman & Forte was actually released in English, because of some online petition.

It was released for GBA, not Super NES. So was Tales of Phantasia, Mickey Mouse 3, Fire Emblem series, Wars series and other previously Japan only games I don't think they released those games based on petitions, they released them because it was more profitable to release them now on GBA than back then on the SNES. I mean, I'm sure they knew the public wanted it, but it's not like they went "omg the petition now has 487 signatures! we GOT to release the game!"

*scratches* Hm...wasn't it the rabid, vocal fanboys that got Atlus to reprint Disgaea? ... ... ... They REPRINTED the first Disgaea? When was this, and why didn't I hear about it? I have to pick up a copy ASAP before Atlus decides to take it out of print again... About this, as much as I would love another Shenmue, I'm not holding my breath at this point.

( www.atlus.com/cgi-bin/shop?action=search) I remember them saying something about "extremely limited quantities." This was actually the second reprinting. The first was late last year with the funding of Game Quest Direct.

Let's participate it even if there's little or no hope, just to show them the fans are realy there.
