The Xtreme series on PS1 has skating, too, but I don't know if you can punch and kick in any/all of them.

Kaneko, eh? No surprise there, since they also did DJ Boy, the other Roller Skating beat-em-up (though that one was side-scrolling).

Holy shit, never heard of this game, I thought Taito's Riding Fight was the first game to do this style of game.

I notice that the second time Slalom is said, it is instead spelled "Shalom." Somehow, I don't think this game was made before the Jewish concept of peace. :V

As a big Skitchin' and 2Xtreme fan back in the '90s, I'm stunned that there was a spiritual predecessor from so long ago! Minor corrections: "...and if you do well enough at the end of it, you get more lives help you with the stages ahead." (...more lives to help you...?) "Fighting Roller / Roller Aces is a very simple whose somewhat abstract design..." (...a very simple game whose...?)
