www.hardcoregaming101.net/toughturf/toughturf.htmI stumbled across this Sunsoft game listening to one of the Sega System 16 soundtrack CDs, and used it in the "guess that tune" VGM thread. On the surface it's just a Double Dragon clone, but it's a bit different since weapons don't disappear, ever, and nearly every enemy has one. The music is excellent though. I have a feeling there's something off with the ROMs in MAME - the flyers mention a buy-in feature for a second player, but this doesn't seem possible during gameplay. You can't continue at all either.

I have a feeling there's something off with the ROMs in MAME - the flyers mention a buy-in feature for a second player, but this doesn't seem possible during gameplay. You can't continue at all either. There is a dip switch setting that lets you change the number of available continues from "none" to "3" or "unlimited;" the last two work fine and allow for a second player (though "3 continues" with two players sounds uncomfortable). You can change it from the MAME dip switch menu, too. "None" may be the default setting in MAME and was probably the default setting on new units, but the operator can change it to be more merciful and allow two players to play it.
