So, the beginning of summer approaches. What will most of you do to celebrate? "Hang out with a bunch of guys on the internet looking at old video games?" Hey, me too! Especially games like... this. GAME CLUB 199X PRESENTS: MULTIMEDIA MADNESS
STARTING SUNDAY, MAY 11TH, 7 PM CST/8 PM ESTThat's right, this Sunday, the GC9X crew are going to drag you screaming into FMV Hell, with an assortment of PC action and adventure games with a focus on FMV-based gameplay. We've got good-ISH games... Questionable games... And things that just might not even BE games. Did you know there was one of these about Prince? Now you do. Also, give you the false illusion of choice that ultimately means little to nothing that most FMV games can only dream of, we give you, the viewer, two, count them, two options! Should I: A. Play every game blind, and stumble my way through until my inevitable death and/or frustration? B. Find walkthroughs for every game I can find, using those until my inevitable death and/or frustration? Please note, however, that while you're free to send requests, we won't be able to play all of them. These games get pretty huge, and some of them have technical issues. Also, please don't ask for Night Trap. We'll get to that one in due time. Tonight is the night! Join us at www.livestream.com/robertenaytor at 7 PM CST/8 PM EST!

...You people really hate me, don't you. Also, hey, if anybody knows any good sites for this kind of thing, let me know. Adventure Legends, which is my usual spot for this kind of thing, is down, and I don't know when/if they're coming back. It's not too much of a problem, because the EXODOS collection gave me plenty of material to work with, but it still sucks. You will, however, miss out on the interactive video game based on Blown Away, the hit film of 1994 starring Jeff Bridges, Tommy Lee Jones, and Suzy Amis. I'm sorry.

For a FMV game that actually is worth trying, look up Frankenstein: Through the Eyes of the Monster. Its got Tim Curry in it.
EDIT: And if you're willing to dabble with Amiga CDTV emulation, you could try "The Town With No Name" and "Psycho Killer"

You need to get Johnny Mnemonic You're breaking my balls here, Joestar, I just spent like a few hours getting all three CDs of Star Trek: Borg! ...It's downloading right now. I hope you've got something really funny to say, something you're really ready to edit out, or both, for this. And noted, Chosen! I actually got Frankenstien not long before you actually asked, funnily enough. I'll save those other two games for a future Amiga livestream, though.

I always have something really funny to say, it just gets edited out most of the time because it involves anti-semitism.

I'm voting B, but I think option C, "read a bit on these beforehand, but not too extensively" would be preferable. That way you're not stumped immediately but you're still discovering a lot.

Tell you what: I'll have my co-commentators on hand, so if I get really, REALLY stuck and we REALLY want to see more of whatever we're currently playing, I'll have one of them open up a walkthrough. Sound good?
