The Atari version needs color artifacting turned on. The standard emulators have this, but it can be a bit hard to tell what the correct colors for a game are because it's depends on the Atari model and the tint control of NTSC sets. Atari Win (NOT plus) has a full-blown NTSC filter. Altirra is also flexible, Atari800win plus doesn't offer much in this regard. There's also a variant of Applewin which implements something like this, as the Apple relied heavily on such quirks of the NTSC system.

Fixed that and added new screenshots. Thanks for the tech info.

"antecede" is a verb, not a noun. Antecedent is the correpsonding noun. "place more than block" > more than one "faling blocks" > falling "aside from the Commodore's higher resolution and color palette" > Did the C64 really have a higher resolution than the Apple II?

"aside from the Commodore's higher resolution and color palette" > Did the C64 really have a higher resolution than the Apple II? Not earth-shatteringly, but yes. The Apple II's high resolution is 280x192, while the C64 manages at least 320x200 (although in this case only 320x192 are used). I think both can do technically more, but those are the reasonable figures for games.

OK. The Apple version looks better to me, though.
