Hating most Western games is unrealistic. Sorry, just had to say that ^__^. Hating is a harsh word, I should have say "don't like"

I like both realistic and fantastic styles in my games. However, there has to be good art direction. For example, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter for the 360 looks gorgeous... not only because it approaches photorealism at times, but because a lot of care was put into making the environments look "lived-in." The world in Oblivion was ridiculously generic, but the towns and dungeons generally were put together well and were interesting to explore.
One thing I can't understand is the gray/brown look many western games had until just recently. How is that realistic? In real life the world is a really colorful place. Even a rusted old factory has plenty of color. Thanks to advances in lighting and such we're finally seeing some colorful games.

Seriously instead of complaining do something either.
A) keep playing the Good old games or B) get a 360 get XNA pick up a C# book and make your own damn games
