You could have called it social space station survival simulation sadventure Also, that black glasses guy is incredibly creepy. Also also, "stroytelling" in the line right under the little images of the guy's moods.

This is a game that tries way too much stuff. Every time I play it, I run into some bizarre roadblock; I usually wind up getting stuck in that cornfield maze.

It happens every time we play, and the person who plays gets so stuck that I suspect that it's some really weird Game Over scenario.

Didn't Psygnosis try a couple of different things like this? It sounds kind of reminiscent of Brataccas, their earliest game. And the ridiculously overwrought backstory sounds like Microcosm.

I tried playing this game a few years ago and pretty much came to the same conclusion as everyone else - it looked impressive and complex but was way too convoluted to be even remotely playable. I distinctly remember a character not showing up at the time he said he would be present, and that's pretty much when I gave up.

1990s-me would have avoided this, but props to the developers for trying something so massive back then. (Additional thanks to Brutoom for taking the time to uncover so much about it!) Minor corrections: The game is played almost entirely from the first person perspective, as you walk around the space station is (in?) fully 3D environments. Seral Camik (caption under 'The Medics') vs. Camik Seral (caption along sidebar) From a stroytelling standpoint,

Psygnosis early covers were so rocking. Pity this is a exception.
