Just like title of this thread say. I have few questions and I'm looking for someone with better knowledge who could help me.
For a long time I was using mame32 (than it become mameUI32). I really like it very much, I like that GUI that can be easy adjusted and configured - fact that I have all games on single list with titles/snapshot graphic, cheats and additional informations. I use 0.123 - I know it is old one, but it work very fast on my laptop and it support lot of roms. I also use few later versions for specific titles. Now I would like to move to new version but UI32 is no more (IV play look awful simple - it's like Windows 8, I was used to have nice gui and see every option now it looks like some poor made front-end). My question is with mame I should choose to have similar experience to UI32. Right now I try latest versions of UI fx, mame plus and hb mame ui. After configuring directories only mame ui fx show available games, Plus and HB shows nothing.
And my second topic is sega CD. They made a big mess with all that names - wonderswan, sega/mega cd. I have problems with running some titles. I use kega fusion and gens surreal - usually if fusion can not run something gens will do. But gens do not play cd tracks. It's like fusion use wav and cue while gens use iso and mp3 files. Is there some list of games that will work and not for those two emulators or is there something better I should try. Fusion can not run Devastator but gens do it without music. Adventures of Batman and Robin do not work on both.

If your Sega CD game doesn't play music, check to make sure what the disc and file formats are. Sometimes it'll be distributed as ISO/MP3, which only Gens bothers with. If there is a .cue file, open that in a text editor like Notepad and check what it's expecting to find - sometimes it'll expect WAV files. I've seen some weirdos that distribute games as a BIN, CUE, and all audio tracks in APE format which no emulator uses at all and requires conversion before it'll work in anything.
But for best results, try finding another copy of the game in question; if it's a BIN/CUE set, that'll generally be the most accurate rip, and the music should work just fine in whatever you play it with.

Magma Dragon - I was sure that last mameUI32 was 0.155 - I hear that from time to time they made 64bit new versions, but I use 32bit operating system so I'm not sure it will work, also I do not see link to download it on their page www.mameui.info/ . Weasel - Yes, You are right. There is lot of mess with file extensions and format. People use APE, NGR, ECM so files together got smaller size, bad thing is when You download it You need to check everything manually. I know how to easy convert ecm and ape files. Do You know is there any good converter tool for mp3/wav files? Also as I ask before some compatibility list would save me lot of time. Demotion Man (cue/iso/wav) run in Fusion but have messed cd track, soon after few shoots on fist level music start to make lot of noise. Devastator is also cue/iso/wav but game freezes on title screen in Fusion, Gens open iso file and run game well but without cd tracks even if I convert wav to mp3. Adventures of Batman and Robin is only iso and mp3. Fusion play intro and frezze while gens after sgea logo quits to windows. Ernest Evans is cue/iso/wav and both Fusion and gens can not run it.

Do You know is there any good converter tool for mp3/wav files? Also as I ask before some compatibility list would save me lot of time. I generally do quick conversion using Foobar2000's convert tools, but you may need extra pieces to make that work correctly, and you might not want to download a complete media player for that if you already have one. WinLAME is a nicer stand-alone tool that should be a complete unit, ready to use for whatever you need. Sounds like it got improperly ripped. You might need to find a different copy on another website. See if there's a site that distributes the Redump collection. If it's just an ISO, make sure the mp3 files are named correctly (compare it with any other iso/mp3 game to get the naming convention correct). Alternatively, look for a program called "Sega Cue Maker" (intended for Saturn games but should work on SCD games as well) and generate a cuesheet out of the WAV files, then see if either of your emulators will run it. Also make sure Perfect Sync is enabled in the options; many Sega CD games need this for videos. I recall this game having known issues, but it sounds more like your copy is an improper rip. Find another one. I had an iso/cue/wav that worked fine; make sure you have the Japanese Mega CD BIOS as the CD-ROM version is a Japan-region game only.

For segacd games, make sure you have vsync on or else some games will not start or will not go past the opening FMV.
