Hi all, first time posting here I'm just looking for a bit of help and advice. I've been wanting to write an article on the Alundra games for PS1, the first one was a firm favourite of my teenage years and I'd love to give it another run through. However I'm running into issues with ePSXe and wanted a bit of advice from the community, as I've looked elsewhere for configurations and tips and still can't get the bloody thing to run! Basically I set up ePSXe and managed to run the game fine. The prologue played without any issues, and I even managed to get through the first two dungeon areas in one sitting. However after saving and coming back to the game I now get hit with error messages regarding the game audio when trying to initially load the game and more often than not the game just hangs on a black screen. Long story short I can't even get to the title screen now or even load save states. I was just wondering if anyone in the HG101 community with a bit more knowledge of how ePSXe works could help. General consensus on other forums is that Alundra runs fine so I'm wondering why I'm having these issues, especially on such a simple game (no polygon models, essentially a well drawn Zelda clone).
I'm running: - ePSXe 1.9.25 - BIOS scph1001 - Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9 Video Plugin - ePSXe's SPU core 1.9.0 Sound Plugin
If you need any other details (Video setup, etc.) I'll be happy to post that too. Any advice would be greatly appreciated though. Thanks!

Hello and welcome!
We've got this subforum especially for emulation questions, so I've moved your thread here.
I don't know if it's the same problem as you've got, but Alundra doesn't work for me with Pete's OpenGL2 Driver. I use the P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver. If your article is for Hardcore Gaming 101, you should use that one anyway, as it tends to produce more accurate graphics.

Thanks for the tips, I'll try a different plugin for ePSXe first, failing that I'll look into using another emulator
