Sega Racing Transformed has such a weird feel to it... As if somehow, despite playing an HD game, you're being subjected to it at 50Hz. Feels more like 20-30 to me. But to answer the thread's question, outside of MK7, I can't think of one. And even MK7 is obsolete because of MK8 basically being a better version of 7. Ridge Racer 3D I don't really like, S&ASR Transformed pales in comparison to it's console counterpart, and aside of that, I don't really know any racing games on it. I guess if you're an ambassador you have access to the underrated Mario Kart Super Circuit.

There's a general strangeness (and I've experienced something similar when watching a broadcast or recording of what was a live event originating from PAL-land) where things are off in a way that's hard for me to describe. I don't want to call it ghosting, because it's not, but there's a fuzziness to it, a lack of sharpness or smoothness. as far as FPS goes, I'd want to say it's 25, since that is 5/6 of 30.

I guess if you're an ambassador you have access to the underrated Mario Kart Super Circuit. Super Circuit is a bit of the black sheep of the series, And playing it makes the reasons why very clear: it just doesn't play very well. Gameplay no good. Being an ambassador myself (me and my 3DS go waay back), i can say with confidence that the (actually really) hidden gem in the racing genre on 3DS is F-Zero: Maximum Velocity. Plays perfect, looks truly great, has just the right difficulty balance. Plus the music is ridiculously good. But it's now clear that Nintendo weren't joking when they said it would only be available to ambassadors. Still, it'a Kickass game that I often play. ... This ambassador releases kind of makes me Mad: it's Nintendo taunting us with all the SNES/GBA that could have been in the e-shop, when instead we got Wrecking Crew and first-generation GB games. Good for the Target demographic who want to experience the classics; but Still, a bit of a... Rip-off.

Super Circuit is like SMK, but this time it's much more controllable, and the tracks are longer and have more interesting things. What's not to love? The only downside is that the SNES tracks don't have all their original gimmicks.

Maybe they should get Taito to bring back Chase HQ for 3DS instead. Screw that. How about a 3D Portable Battle Gear/Side By Side? It was an example. =P I would like that one too.

Well, thank you New 3DS. I've had Need for Speed: The Run for a while, but its 3d implementation was so bad that I could never get interested (lots of ghosting, looks like you have two cars in front of you, etc. And in 2D, the fraphics were too bland to immerse me into the game. Well, with the help of the New's upgraded 3D, I can use it without any drawback, the image remains perfect; and the game gets its chance.
So finally, I've been playing the game a little more... and it is pretty good, I must say. Like in the console version, you traverse the USA from West coast to East, so the landscapes are never the same; that's the big selling point of this game. The driving model is typical NFS, with heavy cars prone to drifting, but pretty fun when mastered. More than that, though, every level introduces some unique variation to keep it fresh (Here, you're being shot at by an assassin in a Dodge, and must evade the red laser of his gun; there you must slalom between an avalanche of boulders; over there, it's a helicopter that tries to take you down (!). Plus the cops always try to break you, and you have rivals during the whole game. 40 cars to unlock.
I did not care for it, but I'd say The Run went from a 5 to a 7,5 to give you an idea. So I've found another good racing game, but only on the New 3DS, if, like me, you always play in 3D... (I really do!) (In the case of The Run, I had the 360 version, so why play it on DS in 2D?)
