Toooo many! So many! I've been in and out of the hospital for thirteen years, all I have for looong stretches of time are free-time, a painkillers-addled brain, and I'm bed-ridden. So for me it would rather be, "among all those games I play again even though I have a close to infinite backlog, which are those I remember or loved replaying the most", which is more of a "what are your fave games" type of question. So I can honestly say I'm out. I just don't qualify for this thread. Wow, hardcore. A bit (pretty very) sad, but hardcore. Seriously guise, soo maany gaaames!... Good God I hope I did not kill the thread...

Gunman's Proof. Although I wish the game were at least 10 hours, the fact that it can be beaten in around four hours does have some advantages. It makes it beatable in one lengthy sitting or within 2-3 days. It's fast, fun and it always hit that 'sweet spot' for me. Link to the Past meets the Wild West, with a sprinkle of Earthbound? I'm so there. It's a great SNES game that not enough people recommend.

Max Payne 1. Was kind of my ritual to play through it once a month. Several Lucas Arts Adventures, including Monkey Island 1+2, Sam and Max, and some Sierra Adventures, like Larry 6 or Quest for Glory. Z! Fallout 1+2 And I think many more..........

Oh a good number of games. Happens to me when I'm able to get good enough at them that they become something I can relax with and thus play them over and over again for a month straight or when I'm really inspired by something and get ideas for creative things building in the back of my head as I play.
First one to come to mind are the three SNES Megaman X games. Though they definately are not equal I loved them all a ton and played through them countless times.
I've played through Ace Combat 5 a good many times even after I unlocked everything. That game is really a masterpiece with its excellent mission design, really intense (if a touch over dramatic) plot and amazing soundtrack.
Airforce Delta Strike had a ton to unlock which called for like five playthroughs or so. However even after I got everything I still played through that game atleast six more times becasue I loved the variety in missions. But even more importantly that was one of the coolest games ever becasue you got to unlock a ton of fighter craft from nearly all of Konami's old Shooter library including my favorite fictional fighter craft ever: the Vic Viper. That alone made me play that game way longer than I should have heh.
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow never left my DS for like, half a year I remember. I really loved the gimmick of stealing abilities from enemies and while Symphony of the Night had a richer enviroment I just found something more to love about Dawn's castle. It was probably all the snow, I seem to have a fasciantion with it.
The orignal Boktai I must have beaten like twenty times. A dungeon crawler mixed with Metal Gear is actually pretty cool and I even had alot of fun playing ti without taking advantage of the little solar sensor thing. If you knew were to look and setup you gun accordingly you could keep yourself combat worthy on items alone. Really loved the atmosphere in that game.
And recently of course Skyrim. I just love the enviroment so much, I guess because its the exact opposite of the American southwest which is mostly dry deserts. While I find Fallout New Vegas trumps in in nearly every aspect I've put tons more hours into Skyrim just because I find it something I can just relax with. It has its failings for sure but I feel it manages to do just enough right that I'm not bothered by its short comings and don't get why everyone has to get all wide eyed when they see how many hours steam says I've put into it.

Playing through Monkey Island 2 and Curse of Monkey Island at least once every two years is a personal ritual; I remember all of MI2's puzzle like the back of my hand, and I believe Curse is the best ever game that fools uninformed viewers into thinking they're watching a cartoon! Love them, also love Murray!
Somebody mentioned Mega Man X series and I'm much the same for the first game and its 4 sequels, to lesser extents, and towards Mega Man 7 too.
I also beat Suikoden II at least three times now, ditto Metal Gear Solid.
I played through Phoenix Wright's trilogy far more times than I can count and it always bums me to see him go from over-enthusiastic to world-weary in that poorly written sequel that is the forth game. Even though I like the fifth game, the fourth game still hurts, and I couldn't get through it more than once.

Even though they are high score games, I still play my Jaguar Tempest 2000 and Defender 2000 for score and fun. If they weren't fun I wouldn't play them all the time. I've been playing T2K solid for 20 years and still can't complete the game. D2K not as long as that, but still a blast. I like to play Doom on the Jaguar also
I play through Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World regularly, usually after I've had a run on a more serious game, or if I've been particularly stressed out in real life. There's something just so wholesome and innocent about playing a Super Mario game, it makes you feel like a kid. Other SNES games that get revisited often are Super Castlevania IV and Super Punch-Out!!
I've played through the original Bioshock on 360 about 20 times. I was so addicted to that game, finding every nook and cranny for hidden items, and learning new locations to kill big daddies from safety, or just different ways to kill big daddies. There were so many ways to play the game with the different tonics and plasmid combos.

Aside from a number of arcade and fighting games, which I won't completely count as they're short for a reason, I'll list the most notable games for me here that I love playing multiple times for various reasons and still are:
Star Ocean: First Departure/Second Evolution Final Fantasy VII Loaded God Hand Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Bare Knuckle/Streets of Rage Remake Rygar: The Legendary Adventure Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Haunting Ground Marvel: Ultimate Alliance Samurai Western Brave Fencer Musashi
Hope it's not so long a list it derails the topic, but yea. These are the ones that I can name off the topic of my head.

I like to replay games, but rarely do I replay them in full. Once I beat the game once, I just like to come back and replay some of my favorite individual levels. This, of course, highly favors games that allow the levels to be played in any order, like by having a password system, or a world map, or a level warp cheat, or at least unlimited saved games, for every level.
Some that spring to mind are:
* Skyroads (and the XMAS-special) * Rayman series (somehow, especially Rayman 2) * Lost Vikings * Blackthorne * Zuma and Zuma's Revenge

I just played through all versions of Steel Empire at least once, multiple times in the case of the Genesis/MD and 3DS versions.

I really loved the gimmick of stealing abilities from enemies and while Symphony of the Night had a richer enviroment I just found something more to love about Dawn's castle. It was probably all the snow, I seem to have a fasciantion with it. I got really lazy with Dawn of Sorrow. Once you have the Ape Skeleton soul and the throwing sickles (do not remember what that weapon's actual name was), it almost feels pointless to use anything else. And because of that, it made it hard for me to take another run through the game, knowing I'd just go right back to that.

I don't replay stuff often. So there's not much that I really played a lot, like more than twice and every couple of years. Terranigma and Suikoden II would apply, also Breath of Fire III for a while. I do enjoy taking the very first Harvest Moon in all of its simplicity out for a ride an a somewhat bi-yearly basis. Well, and I'm going back to certain building simulations when the itch for one comes up, like Anno 1602 or SimCity 3000. Pretty much the same with a round of Sims 3 once or twice a year.

I've completed Quest For Glory 3 with all character classes, although all of them were in rather quick succession. Mega Man 7 and Mega Man X come to mind. Super Mario World. Sailor Moon R on the Game Boy. All great J&Rs that have cool level design and are fun for a short playthrough. Pretty much all the versus fighters I enjoy, since they're a fun quick diversion. And for playthroughs with friends, that'd be Streets Of Rage Remake, Return Of Double Dragon, Turtles In Time, Vendetta and Final Fight 3. Indiana Jones & The Fate Of Atlantis for the characters. Leisure Suit Larry 7 for the stupid humour. Although for Adventures it's a lot more convenient to just revisit these via playthroughs on Youtube. The first Tomb Raider is another that I just keep coming back to. As dated as it may appear, the feeling of isolation in that game is second to none, and the level designs are brilliant. When I picture them in my head, I see them as real places. The platforming is great too - I get 'cravings' for it's particular brand of control and gameplay. Huh. You're probably the first person I've encountered that still enjoys the gameplay of Tomb Raider. Interesting.

This depressing state of affairs notwithstanding (and yes, now I quote myself! ), I think the two games that stand out are Fantasy Zone II on SMS, and The Super Shinobi on Mega Drive. I loved those games to death.
