AFTER 10,000 YEARS, IT'S FINALLY POSTED! NOW TO CONQUER EARTH!
I had second thoughts when I first submitted this one, but reading it again made me feel proud of my work. ASM is definitely not a game for everybody, but what it does is fascinating. It's seriously a personal favorite for me.

"It became one of the major indie success stories of 2014, yet didn't become one of the most talked about games of said year"
I haven't played the game (so many games, so little time) but most people who did and I asked about had a few things to criticize, mostly the presentation which seemed to be a huge turnoff and the odd nature of the game, and, while less mentioned, the heavy handed nature of the writing and situations itself. Personally, what I read seemed to be caught into the whole "artsy game fallout" movement and media frenzy and it pretty much drove me away from it to more conventional games. The article gave me a second insight that, while still not pushing me desperately to play it, makes me think it might be an interesting choice, which is something I like from this website. Nice job.

The article gave me a second insight that, while still not pushing me desperately to play it, makes me think it might be an interesting choice, which is something I like from this website. Nice job. I was constantly singing its praises a few months ago, so it took me some time to mellow out and make a soft sell like this. It's definitely not a game for everyone, but it's also not trying to be, which is respectable. Also, it references Flappy Bird, so it's not the most obtuse, pretentious game out there, just very focused on its subject matter. I could make a list of my favorite moments that goes down for about a page, but I think my favorite part of the whole experience was crashing at your publisher's house, where he opens up to you about his crumbling marriage, why he keeps trying, your shared past, all while he shows you the sunrise from his window, one of the few things that keeps him sane. As someone who's going through a lot of financial troubles, Larry's entire story really resonated with me.

Correction - Mercenary Kings was developed and published by Tribute Games. Possibly confused it with Super Time Force?

A sequel was announced earlier today, with Will O'Neil (creator of Actual Sunlight) on board as a writer!
Also, the platforms information needs to be updated to PC, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS.
