New Star Fox Zero footage: Target mode looks like the most interesting new addition to the game, but that's not why I'm going to get this. I'm going to get this because that last line from the saucer boss made my inner child grin like an idiot.

The original Bayonetta was like a religious experience, lol. Devil May Cry really married my interests between fighting games and beat'em ups, and I was pretty sure no game could top DMC3/4 in potential. When I got to the graveyard prologue, and the tutorial pops up for everything, my mind was blown. The complexity of Bayonetta is staggering. At the same time though, you can mash and feel just as good. While all this fighting game combo nerdiness is coming out of me, I was further overwhelmed by the aesthetic of it all too. The music is amazing, the characters memorable, and all the easter eggs! Metal Gear Rising felt like a modern adaptation of Strider. I hated the game at first(parry mechanic is a cruel mistress), but I'm glad I stuck with it. You really come to appreciate how campy and over the top that game is. Unfortunately... Anarchy Reigns was a let down for me =\ I feel the same way about all of these. Wonderful 101 was also really awesome. I bought it even though I didn't own a Wii U just so I could play it at my friends house.

A lot of people don't like Kamiya because of how he acts on Twitter, but you have to consider his situation. He gets asked the same stupid questions constantly, to the extent of some of his "fans" outright trolling him with them, so his hostility is understandable. I think he's hilarious, honestly. I "don't like Kamiya" because all* his games after Resident Evil 2 are shit, but mostly because I resent Devil May Cry's influence over Japanese action games. I'm simply delighted by the fact that he's a shit person, too. It's adorable seeing people who would gang up against any other name behind those tweets squirm and fanboy all over them. The actual content of the tweets is just miserable "child throwing a tantrum" stuff, though. *How would I know that? I still haven't played Okami and wouldn't even touch The Wonderful 101. I would like you to elaborate why you "Devil May Cry's influence over Japanese action games." Personally I think its one of the best things to happen to the genre as a whole, and Bayonetta is what inspired me to make video games of my own, but I'd like to hear what you have to say.

...and I still think Transformers Devastation looks awesome! That game looks so good I was seriously bummed out when I learned who made it. But well, I liked Reveangence alright, maybe I'm somehow lucky and Hideous Kamiya stays away from this, too. Kamiya has nothing to do with it (and will ban you if you ask him about it on Twitter), so you can feel safe playing it. If you liked or could tolerate Revengeance then I think you'll be fine with TF:D. I need to actually finish it, but it's been a lot of fun so far.

So, did you folk hear about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game they're apparently working on?I'm kind of surprised this has an M rating, so it probably won't be based off of that new Nickelodeon cartoon or the recent Bay movies. If this is digital, I'm betting this is going to be on the same level as Korra, where it was hardly their best work, but if you put it up against 90% of other recent licensed games, it'll be absolutely incredible. I do kind of worry about Platinum at times, given how much licensed stuff they're doing... not to mention how many projects they've got going at once. Platinum is great, but I kind of wonder if they should, y'know, maybe slow down just a bit.

Hopefully, they'll draw from multiple sources, including the Archie TMNT comic series.

Platinum is great, but I kind of wonder if they should, y'know, maybe slow down just a bit. The M rating is the Australian M rating, which would roughly equate to a ESRB Teen rating, so I don't think it'll be very grimdark-y. And yeah, I've heard about that earlier. Hopefully it'll actually be good stuff, unlike Out of the Shadows and such. It also made me find out that a recent Tony Hawk 5 update added the Turtles as playable characters (alongside rapper Tyler the Creator) with designs based off of the comic, so some people speculate that that's the look Platinum's game will use. ...also, yeah, they're getting a bit overworked now, although supposedly they get stuff out quick, so who knows.
