Why no DOOM/Chex Quest crossover yet? *cough cough* Samsara *cough hack* I'm personally wondering why there haven't been any attempts at a Quake version of Chex Quest. I guess Quake modding is still in its infancy. Anyway, back on topic: You guys got a favorite weapon? I like the SSG even though it's slow and kind-of-sort-of weak-ish. The Plasma Rifle for me: that cool-down animation, controlling your bursts... so good. One of the earlier versions of Brutal Doom had a SWEEET secondary shot for the Plasma Rifle, a plasma-shotgun blast. It's still there but the creator has messed with it a bit, it doesn't feel the same.

Chaingun. Good for shredding scores of weaker foes up close or accurately sniping enemies with short bursts. The only real disadvantages are that it has much less potential damage than the plasma gun (higher damage per shot, higher fire rate AND higher ammo cap than the chaingun) and isn't good at killing medium-sized or larger enemies with necessary quickness. Nonetheless, DANCE! DANCE, BONEDADDY!On the subject of level sets, I will always be partial to Suspended in Dusk and Eternal Doom.

Alternatively, if you wanted to actually PLAY a lego-themed Doom map, Lego Base is a fine level.

Another year, another DOOM week has ended, Reminiscing about DOOM and playing DOOM games is basically the highest state anyone who likes video games can hope to reach. A wonderful week to be alive.
