Custom Robo is another. It got a sequel, so some people must like it, but I never hear anyone talk about it. I think it'd be fun to discuss all the different builds we like to use and against what and on which stage, etc... but no. Best case, I might see someone mention the name once or twice...ever. There are actually 5 games in the series. Custom Robo, V2, GX, Battle Revolution and Arena. Sometimes it's comparable to the Cyber Troopers: Virtual On series. Well well well. I knew there were at least two others, but I left them out since they're Japan only. Thanks though, think I'll look 'em up again.

Not exactly what the topic is, but I'm a bit surprised at nobody talking about Street Fighter V here.

I can't remember the last time I was excited about the fifth (actually 20th or so) iteration of any game.

It looks better than Street Fighter 4, but in my personal opinion, that's hardly a huge achievement. :V

Not exactly what the topic is, but I'm a bit surprised at nobody talking about Street Fighter V here. One of the main appeals of the series, in my experience, has always been the way the art style has changed drastically between each numbered iteration. SFII, Alpha, III, and IV all look very different. SFV looks essentially the same as SFIV, but with slightly better graphics. I wasn't a huge fan of the over-exaggerated proportions of IV to begin with, so the lack of much visual change is doing little for me. Being exclusive to PS4 is also a rather bizarre move. Can't even imagine what kind of money Sony would have had to pony up to equal out to what Capcom would have made with an additional XB1 release.

I was never a huge fan myself. It's a classic series and I've had plenty of good times with it, but it's a bit too slow for my taste, and I tend to have a hard time understanding the combo system as it seems like one's timing has to be exact, which is near impossible for one such as I, as a good match tends to get the blood flowing. Also like Jason said, there isn't much to go off of yet...all I see is Street Fighter IV with slightly better graphics. Considering all the time that's passed, one expects more change.

Has Bust A Groove been mentioned? A rhythm game series on PS1. It tends not to get mentioned much because it had the odd situation where the sequel had better gameplay, but all the fan-favorite songs were in the first game. But it can't be underestimated how big a deal the series was in 2000 and 2001. Bust-A-Groove cosplayers were massively common from 2000 - 2002.

I'll tell ya what's a really underrated game, Rygar: The Legendary Adventure for the PS2.
It's a really great game, even though it's an update of a different NES game it's still a better 3D Castlevania than the actual 3D Castlevania that came out a year later, plus it has some of the best graphics on the PS2, as well as an excellent soundtrack, the only real complaint I can think of is some cheesiness, with bad voice acting and the princess you have to rescue looks exactly like Britney Spears.
