I'm pretty sure we've had this happen at least once in our lifetime. We watch a movie that's not in the horror genre and out of nowhere we jump out of our seat cause a scary scene happens. Well this thread is for that purpose. Tell us what non-horror movie scenes that you've seen or ones that you heard of that make you or others jump.
Don't read further if you don't want two movies spoiled.
Two for now....
In Seven, when the third victim of the bad guy (John Doe was it?) isn't really dead after all.
I never knew this until recent but in Who Framed Roger Rabbit the true identity of Judge Doom scared many a kid back then what with his animated cartoon eyes and the high screechy voice.

The Secret of NIMH. Manages to be as terrifying as Watership Down at some points...
...And yet still got a G rating. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

...And yet still got a G rating. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ That's the 80's for you, back then there were some PG movies like Clash of The Titans that had nudity in them. Now today even R rated movies are afraid to show bare breasts for more than a few seconds.

Okay, some would argue that The Brave Little Toaster wasn't supposed to be targeted at young children (it was a Sundance submission, for cryin' out loud), but this is absolutely insane to have in it:

There's a little German animated movie called Felidae, based on the first book in a series of cat crime novels. The thing is rated 12+, which should probably have been some indication that it's not quite a cute kids movie, but I think still a lot of people are blindsighted by just how brutally those cartoon cats get mutilated when the thing regularly comes on at 20:15 prime time. Not to mention the insane dream scenes with Mengele.

Okay, some would argue that The Brave Little Toaster wasn't supposed to be targeted at young children (it was a Sundance submission, for cryin' out loud), but this is absolutely insane to have in it: I read like a making-of of The Brave Little Toaster once and from what I remember it was definitely meant to be a children's movie, just edgier than the usual fare. And I think it works, yeah that clown is scary as hell, but when the movie ended my only thought was how much I enjoyed the movie as a kid, a good kid's movie should offer a wider range of emotions than genial pleasantness, that cathartic experience of something scary happens but *exhale* ahhh it's over now is something is almost completely lost in modern children's entertainment, I feel bad for any kid's that don't get to experience it.

For a comedy film full of zany superheroes and comedy actors at their peak, Mystery Men has a surprisingly gruesome death scene:
Half of the comments to the video say this as well...

Some more movies scene for me....
The first three Indiana Jones movies had some scary stuff though the first two had a lot of scary stuff but if there was one scene in each of the two that was the worst. Raiders of the Lost Ark was the Ark opening scene at the end (and it got a PG rating at the time!) Temple of Doom was the human sacrifice (where the guy's heart torn out of his chest.) As for The Last Crusade one scene in the end was where the guy "chose poorly."
Also two old Disney cartoon movies scared a lot of little kids back in the day. (Pinocchio and Snow White.) Pinocchio had that scene with the kid turning into a donkey and Snow White with the Queen turning into an old hag. I don't think the one Pinocchio from got to me but Snow White did. One thing I remember from Snow White, I saw it in theaters in the 80's or 90's and I seem to recall that the transformation scene was probably cut half way thru. Maybe Disney thought the original scene was deemed too scary and had censored it for the little ones. Can anyone confirm this?
And Jurasic Park, I pretty sure a whole bunch of kids went to the movies to see the dinosaurs but when the T-Rex made its appearance the kids ended up with nightmares.
