I remember working at Gamestop when Rise of Legends was releasing. We actually had a good deal of ad material put up through out the store for it so I thought it was going to be a big thing but I only remember one customer coming in to reserve it and he was pretty excited about it. I actually recall that there was a Starwars RTS that (or maybe it was an expansion pack) that did pretty well the same year. May have also contributed to poor sales perhaps.

Wish I would have picked up Rise of Legends when it came out. It definitely looked interesting.

Personally I found Rise of Legends to be an extremely confusing game to even get a grip on, I was not surprised it didn't do particularly well. Rise of Nations though is genuinely one of my all time favourite RTS titles.
