Man, I've put countless hours into this program. I still intend to finish a full level hack of this some day, but that has been put on hold with Mario Maker being a thing. Still, there's a lot of things you can do here but not in SMM.
This program has really spoiled me when it comes to level editors. I could pretty much do everything I wanted with this unless it involved too many objects, and I can never get that with any other level editors, except for maybe Super Mario Kart.

Nice. KiddEd (Alex Kidd in Miracle World) is another excellent tool.

What are the big differences between them o.o? Well, everything, pretty much. SMM is a tool for making stages in the NSMBU engine. It isn't based off a specific Mario game, but rather is a tool that allows you to create stages with all kinds of things pulled from different Mario games. Lunar Magic on the other hand is a tool for hacking SMW, and thus allows you to fuck with a lot more (the map, graphics, layers, etc.) but also has only stuff from SMW (but on the other hand, all stuff). Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Lunar Magic allows for deeper customization, a lot of 'rooms' per stage, but isn't as easy to use and is limited by the SNES' power (especially in the amount of objects you can place one one screen), Mario Maker has a lot of stuff and you are free to combine and place anything you want, but only allows seperate stages.
