As someone who loved Crows and Worst I wish I still had my Sega Saturn. I'd at least give this a whirl.

As someone who loved Crows and Worst I wish I still had my Sega Saturn. I'd at least give this a whirl. Well, you could always emulate it. It's definitely worth checking out for a fan, even if it doesn't fully live up to the series' potential. Ever read QP? It's my favorite Takahashi manga, and probably my favorite manga ever. It's in the same vein as Crows or Worst but it was published as Seinen so it doesn't have the limitations of Shounen (ie although the main character's reformed, he was much more of a true delinquent in his teenage years than Bouya or any similar lead, who're always really nice guys deep down). The whole crew of guys working at the gas station where great too, they're like a Japanese version of Clerks. And you can tell the whole story was planned out rather than piling on story arcs.

It's been on my to read list for a while. I think when I checked it out before there were no scans or only a couple chapters done.
I'll probably give the game a whirl at some point, I just do so much less emulation then I used to since I legit own like a million games I still want to play. But there are some SNES RPGs I'd like to play so I'll slip this in there when I am in the mood and willing to mess around.

Anyone has a translation for that speech before the credits?

Just realized that since I wrote the article, a new Crows game was released by Bandai Namco in Japan for the PS4, entitled Crows: Burning Edge. Looks like a modern-style brawler, and unfortunately not a likely candidate for NA release. Not sure I like the character designs, but I'm curious about the storyline, which reportedly includes a retelling of the story from multiple perspectives and a new story by the original author which runs in parallel. Plus you can play as Bulldog!
Anyway, it means the "only one video game" line in the article is already obsolete.

Character designs are pretty much what I would expect for a modern game for this series. They look pretty close just using the more updated art style. I'd totally play the game though, looks fun.

Bouya looks really weird in that pic though. But yeah, I'd be all over this if it were translated. I wonder if it's all action or if there's some exploration involved.

A little awkward but I could deal more worrisome to me is the 2 star rating based on 12 votes. That doesn't seem good at all.

I can't take the 2-star rating seriously in the absence of any comment, though. All it tells me is that out of 12 anonymous strangers, most didn't like it, for some unknown reason(s). There are probably more than 12 people who would want me dead cause they don't like my face or whatever, so that doesn't carry any weight with me. Also there were a lot of abysmal review for Beat Down: Fists of Vengeance, for example, but it's a very good game. Of course this will not be released in English, so it doesn't really matter.
