I have recently been interested in looking into emulating Amsrtad (sp?) CPC, Amiga, Commodore 64 and ZX68000. How do I go about doing this? What are good emulators? What are good games?

First of all, check out Zophar's Domain, it doesn't get many updates as of late, but it's still a very good source for obscure emulators, as well as comparisons of each one.

If you're using Windows, I would recommend the following emulators: * For Amstrad CPC emulation: WinAPE32 or Arnold (don't remember which was better) * For Amiga emulation: WinUAE * For Commodore 64/128 emulation: CCS64 * For ZX Spectrum emulation: EmuZWin
You can find all the emulators easily with Google.

Other good emulators are Caprice32 (CPC),Vice (C64) and ZXSpin (Zx Spectrum). Another site with lots of disk images for C64 is GameBase64.Also,check out Lemon Amiga and download Lemonade,an excellent front end for WinUAE. As for the games, your favorite genres?

Planetemu.net, an EXCELLENT emulation website will help you much about emulating computers (and in general, really), i say. Only drawback - the website itself is in french (I am a native speaker), but peoples on the forum are chill and will help you.

Try FM Towns Marty emulation (UNZ is the emulator, needs bios, games are CD based) for real obscure system emulation.

Try FM Towns Marty emulation (UNZ is the emulator, needs bios, games are CD based) for real obscure system emulation. After all C64,Amiga and Speccy were really popular in Europe.I wouldn't call them "obscure".

Anybody have any clue how to emulate Atari ST and where to get roms for it?
Also I just noticed that I asked for ZX68000. I meant ZX Spectrum and X68000. Spectrum was taken care of. Any body have any clue about X68000?

Are there any other good emulators and rom site for Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, Apple II, and X68000? I have had so-so results with these.

Planetemu.net is a very good site, as I said - the website is in french, but you can get help around and the website is no too hard to go around.
They don't have the X68000 however, I think.
