Formerly titled "HD Project", Atlus officially confirmed this is the fifth mainline entry of the franchise and is still Switch exclusive. No release date yet, unfortunately.

Oh, so it wasn't a remake then?

Seems to me like it was always going to be SMTV. Was there any specific reason a remake seemed possible?

Finally a Switch game that has me intrigued.
Is this the first mainline SMT game in HD?

in this modern day and age I wish this wasn't "Switch exclusive" though. I dream of the day when you can play the games you wanna play without having to buy 3-4 different consoles. It's never gonna happen, is it? And it's not even about money or "brand loyalty" - it's about fuckin CLUTTER IN YOUR LIVING ROOM INNIT!? I want a single console next to my tv please, thank you

Cool, looking forward to it. I was really looking forward to the SJ remake too but I'm not loving the direction they're going with it.

Cool, looking forward to it. I was really looking forward to the SJ remake too but I'm not loving the direction they're going with it. I haven't followed the news closely, the redrawn art isn't as good this time around and the new character looks like she was scrapped from Persona. But Strange Journey is fantastic, if anyone haven't played it yet I urge them to do so now.

But this new one doesn't seem to capture the same lethal, claustrophobic, alien vibe at all. At this point I can only recommend the original version, though I'll still play the remake.

I'm very glad to hear about as I'm going to be a Switch owner soon, the more exclusives the merrier.

I'm speculating dual protagonists because of this: Here's hoping...

And after they acted like having male/female protagonists would have been too much work in Persona 5.
