1999 PSX action-adventure title from Konami, in which you play as either a ronin or a kunoichi fighting zombies and monsters. It's very much the same concept as Onimusha before Onimusha, though it takes inspiration from Capcom's own Resident Evil itself in the way the two stories are intertwined. There are even 3D animations of doors opening, very similar to Resident Evil's (which itself was an updated version of Sweet Home's door-opening animations!). In any case, it's pretty different from Onimusha in practice, and both are worth playing.
If they'd concentrated on Kotaro and crafted a longer adventure for him (at least 5-6 hours), this could have been a minor classic.
