I have recently taken up the task of trying to cheer up a 15 year old friend of mine.
I won't go into details but I have quite a task a head of me. I'd buy him a blue DS Lite but don't have the cash. He does like Sonic and Kirby and only has a DS
So...............what games just Scream out "CHEER THE FUCK UP" That I could get him?
I already brought him Metriod Prime Hunters and Kirby canvas curse.

There's always Super Mario 64 DS. You should also get him the DS Castlevania games, Nanostray and Puyo Pop Fever.

Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime. The game has "SMILE!" written all over it.

Coincedentally, That game is awesome. If he likes sonic, Sonic Rush is pretty kickass too.

I'd suggest the Bubble Bobble/Rainbow Islands stuff they put out, but I hear that'd just cause more frowns than smiles.

Viewtiful Joe DS should cheer anybody up...unless they hate weird humour and cel-shading.

Any of the Katamari games would be perfect. Even if it doesn't cheer him up, it'll at least give him the feeling of being a Godzilla-style movie monster rolling through a city and picking up the Eiffel Tower.

What's with all the PS2 recommendations? The system and games are awesome, but the first post clearly says he only has DS and that michiyoyoshiku can't afford to buy another system. Anyway, for good cheer up games for the DS, Agents are go!

He has it and knows things about it not even sonic team knows,Kid's obsessed with sonic, bordering on unhealthy I knew a kid just like that. In school. It was so bad he was constantly made fun of and had no friends. I tried to be his friend but his obsession was a bit too much for even me to handle. Sonic fans can be scary. It started when I met him in the 6th grade, but continued to get worse throughout high school... and probably into his adult years. It was so bad, other kids couldn't admit to liking Sonic the Hedgehog because they would be compared to him (And this was during the 16 bit era, so Sonic was huge in the media at the time). So Sonic was something you couldn't talk about in my school. I mean, it was really bad... his mind was so flooded with thoughts of Sonic and Tails, it was the only think he could ever talk about. He didn't care what you said about him, as long as you didn't insult Sonic, or Sega, the gods that created him.

Or you could just go with every 15-year-old's favorite combination: hoes and tacos!

Why has no one suggested Elite Beat Agents? That game is all about A CREW OF JAPANESE PUNKS SINGING AND DANCING TO MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY! As far as cheer-ups go, that game was kinda made with that very purpose in mind!! (:
