Take a look at this site: spacemul.emu-france.com/screen2.php3?type=cons&id2=27686&lang=engThey post daily pics of PSP games that look as if they were taken using an emulator (due to the clearness of the images). I know there aren't any PSP emus (at least not decent ones), so they must be using some kind of cables to connect the PSP to the PC and take the images. Anyone might know EXACTLY how to do that?

It's possible that they have a devkit, which runs directly on a VGA monitor. Did someone figure out how to hack the screen interface on the (retail) PSP?

To my knowledge, the only thing that can hack the PSP screen interface at this time is the PSP2TV. It is a nifty little device where you have to open your system up and install a dongle directly to the PSP innards and a new faceplate. After that you will be able to display the PSP game on your TV via composite and even be able to control the game with a PS2 controller! There are a couple downsides, though. Apparently some of the pixels get lost in translation and the resolution isn't as good. It is also really expensive if you can even find one. At least you can hook it up to a capture card and get some good screenshots, though. Here is the IGN article on the PSP2TV: gear.ign.com/articles/666/666034p1.html

It can't be for the TV, it has to be to the PC or at least directly from the PSP.
The resolution is too good to be anything other than an emulator or from the PSP graphics chip directly.

I think these screenshots are a feature of either Devhook or Dark_Alex's custom firmwares - I recall reading about an option that, when turned on, would allow you to take screenshots by pressing the screen contrast button, and these screenshots would be saved to the memory stick as PNG files.

Light nor dark will bring good results taking screenshots with a camera. Not even with a capture card you get crystal clear results.
