So, would you consider the SNES original to remain the "definitive" version of this game?

To be honest, I was kinda joking when I said "Son of a submariner" was the best insult ever.
I mean... I don't even know what that's supposed to MEAN. Kefka either called Edgar the "Son of an underwater Marvel Comics superhero" in which case, that's not offensive at all (in fact it would actually be kinda cool) or "Son of someone who works with submarines," which is also not offensive at all.
"Son of a sandworm" isn't much better, really. Either he accused Edgar of being able to create spice that extends life and raises mental abilities, or he said that Edgar is capable of scaring Beetlejuice.
Yeah, I entered this topic just to make pop culture references.
Say what you will about how kooky "you spoony bard!" sounds but at least that one's not prone to mis-(or non-)interpretation.

I was kinda hoping they would have changed that horrible, horrible looking Mine cart sequence, it looked shat-o-rama on the SNES, on the PS1 and it still looks horrible on the GBA. Why god, why is that in there?! I still teared up at the Opera sequence however, even though they changed the lyrics, the music didn't sound as good and I was on a plane beside a grown man.

I was mildly disappointed that they changed the "Son of a Submariner" line, just because I always thought it sounded so stupidly funny. But, I've always thought the line about slitting his momma's throught sounded bad, so some of the changes are quite fine with me.
And to the person who was asking about Kefka's "waiter" line, then yeah, that's still in the GBA version.

I like the original the best. "Son of a submariner!" sounds like something Captain Haddock would say.
