Powerstone Collection. This needs to be supported so Capcom would make more for different systems.

My PSP recommendations:OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast-:A fantastic port. There is a *little* slowdown here and there, and it's control via the analogue nub is a little sensitive (though totally adjustable), but port is amazing. Nothing has been compromised... all the content from the console versions is here, and the graphics are among the best the PSP has to offer. I actually prefer this over the console editions... which is strange because the game isn't technically any better than the console versions, but I just feel the PSP is a better fit for OutRun. I like having my OutRun with me wherever I go. And this is one of the PSP games that doesn't hurt my hands a lot, for some reason. Tops!!! Tekken: Dark Resurrection-:Say what you want about Tekken, but this is the handheld fighter done right. Plenty of content, great gameplay (the d-pad issues mentioned in regards to this game have been slightly exaggerated in my opinion), and it looks gorgeous. Great value for money, and a great showpiece. Wipeout Pure-:I have never, ever been a Sony boy, but I've ALWAYS admired Wipeout. I spent hours upon HOURS with my Saturn conversion of the first game, and went out of my way to hunt down all the PSX editions of the game. Wipeout Pure is the ultimate Wipeout experience... a culmination of all the best features from the entire series. The controls have now been perfected- this is the best controlling Wipeout ever. The thing that sets this apart from all other PSP titles is the sheer amount of FREE downloadable content. Stacks and STACKS of extra courses, and lots of Classic Wipeout music- this game set a standard for DLC on the PSP that has yet to be surpassed (or even matched). And the game looks stunning. Just one tip... don't even think about playing the game with the nub... this game was fine-tuned for play with the d-pad. Grand Theft Auto: Liberty Series Stories-:This one is an easy pick, but hear me out. The vehicle control in this game is AMAZING. This is the reason I've chosen to recommend this game... this game (along with Ridge Racer PSP) shows that the nub CAN be utilised properly for vehicle control. Oh, and the game is pretty decent too. But the vehicle control is immensly satisfying.
These games I feel are either overrated, or a bad fit for the PSP:Loco Roco - Charming and fun, but there's no staying power. Me and My Katamari - though it's visually very close to the PS2 editions, this is but a mere shadow. Content sucks, there's not enough variety, and the controls are HIDEOUS. This game is murder on ones hands... I'm unable to play this for more than a couple of minutes at a time. Lumines - Don't get me wrong, I think Lumines is amazing. I put this here because I don't think the PSP's d-pad is up to the task for puzzle games... I can't help but feel restrained when I play Lumines on the PSP. Otherwise, Lumines is amazing. Needs a better platform though... a DS version say

Some of my favourites:
Minna no Golf Portable. Think the US version is called Hot Shots. Anyway, best version ever of this series.
Burnout Legends. If you don't own a home version or want to play Burnout on the move, this is great.
Ridge Racers and Wipeout Pure. Two astonishingly good versions of two great series. There's a load of downloadable content for the latte too.
Pirates - wonderful game if you never played the original.
Exit - totally original AFAIK and great fun.
Parodius Portable - cheap way to get three amazing shooters on one UMD. Also includes a good shooter and a crap one.
There, that should get you started.

akumajo: I disagree entirely on Me & My Katamari. The content is fine (though admittedly limited, when compared to its PS2 brethren), and I actually PREFER the controls of the PSP version to those of the PS2 ones. They take a little while to get used to, but once you ARE used to them, I think they're easier to work with. And if you have PS2-style wing-grips for your PSP, they don't really hurt your hands at all (I've been spoiled by my wing-grips -- can't play my PSP without 'em, now!).
Good call on Wipeout Pure, though. That game is fantastic.

Great recommendations, keep 'em up! I've already got myself a nice fat list with which I can fulfill my PSP-ness.
... huhuhuhuhuhuh. I said P-ness. ;D
Wipeout Pure, huh? Well... the only Wipeout I own is the original, and I totally suck at it. I've always thought it looked cool, but I can't even get past the first track, mostly because I think the steering controls are over-sensetive. Buuuuut... if I were to only get one Wipeout game, should I make it this one?

... if I were to only get one Wipeout game, should I make it this one? Absolutely. Without a doubt mate !!! The learning curve for Wipeout Pure is nigh-on perfect.

Yeah, it really is. I'm picky with my racing games (and I typically only go for future-racers), but I find Wipeout Pure to be one of the better ones I've played in recent memory.

Deal! Seems like I have a new addition to my list! ;D ... though, I've a problem to share. About a couple of months ago, I was able to find many of the games I wanted on the shelves of stores like Best Buy and Toys R Us. Well... somehow, many of them aren't up there anymore. Is this just a spot of bad luck, or did I miss the boat on most PSP titles? I guess eBay will be a last resort, in that case...

Bomberman Blast Squadran Ridge Racer Tekken DR Guilty Gear Judgement Japanese version (get a Dpad mod)

Ooh, another good recommendation: Gitaroo Man Lives. If you've never played the PS2 version, GREAT! Get it for the PSP instead. The nub is far better suited to the gameplay than the PS2's analog stick was, and if you buy PS2-style wing-grips for your system, you'll find it overall much easier to play than its big-screen counterpart.
