For now I can only think of LucasArts' Full Throttle.

Actually, there were the four side scrollers which appeared on multiple 16-bit systems, but there also was the super deformed Valis, as documented on this great site here. More disappointing, however, are the new PC series that are probably best left forgotten, as it's a hentai graphic adventure. Oh, as for one offs, how about God Hand? One of the best 3d beat em ups ever, with a catchy anime style to boot. while we're on the subject of Capcom 1 offs Killer 7 which was good but I just couldn't play it as it weirded me the fuck out and PN03 which is way underrated Wasn't under the Skin supposed to be good too? Warzard also stands out

Under the Skin has one fault..it's insanely short, it makes other short games seem like 60 hour epics, you can truthfully clock the game in maybe an hour or two if you're really focused and tac an extra hour or two for hardest mode. It just happens to be a damn fun game, it feels a lot like Powerstone (and I think would have been great with a 4p mode...maybe a sequel if we're ever so lucky) in the way the items work (lots of different very random items), it's immense fun and well worth the price it's avaliable for now...annnd RESIDENT EVIL LEVEL!

PN03 was always a game I wanted to play, never got around to it. Popful mail is a game that needed a sequel, a few underdogs like drill dozer too.

Tomato Adventure. Shame that was never released outside of Japan. There was a contest to promote the game in Japan where the winner would win TOMATOES! BEST CONTEST PRIZE EVER!
And what was the name of that Taito puzzle game with balloons? Pop 'n' Pop?
