Some guy from Germany emailed me asking about information regarding an Nintendo 64 Power Glove. I did a bit of shallow googling and found nothing. Wikipedia had nothing on it either. So I emailed him back and told him that it didn't exist, that the Power Glove was for the NES. He emails back and tells me (in semi broken English) that there's a Power Glove for the N64 and was made by "Reality Quest". I tell him again that the Power Glove is for the NES only. Finally he emails me again and shows me a pic, of what I asume is himself, holding the N64 Power Glove. So, anyone heard of this thing before? Nothing seems to pop up on google on the few searches I did. Maybe it only came out for Germany?

Not QUITE the same thing. I've seen accessories very much like this for the Playstation though. Like that picture, it strapped to your wrist. I think your thumb would operate the d-pad, and the other fingers could hit the face buttons. Or something like that. I watched one of my friends play Descent with it. It looked terrible.

So the N64 one is not that obscure?

My friend had it way back when. I used it to play Starfox 64 and while it was fun, it wasn't very responsive. The way the glove senses left and right motion is kinda backwards and if I could show you a video of how it did it I could better explain. Basically, it had this lever that attached to the wrist part and it would move forward and backward as your hand moved left and right respectively where the other end of the lever was attached to your hand part. Needless to say, the glove did not detect your full hand movement so you had to make a very very specific movement for left and right. It was a good idea but only really good for games like Starfox 64 and even then it was inferior to a regular controller. Any other kinds of games, especially platformers like Mario 64, were just an exercise in frustration.

The N64 version supported Rumble packs tho. You just stick it into a slot. The PSX version lacked rumble features.
