Is SNK making any more games right now? I thought I remembered reading that they were making a crazy new KoF for some Taito-made arcade board.

Well Playmore, technically, are making KoF XII. They have made very ambitious claims about their intentions for it.

One thing about SNK is they take forever to deliver what they promise

Right now they've been a little bit quiet. But there's an arcade port of Maximum Impact 2 with some extra characters, a new 3D Samurai Spirits, and King of Fighters XII. There's also rumors of a Mark of the Wolves sequel.

Huh. So are any of the former SNK team still working at SNK Playmore? I remember reading that they made 2003 and XI.

I believe a few people who were involved with SNK are with Playmore, but I can not confirm that. The people who made Metal Slug are long gone. Hence 4 and up not quite being at the level of the SNK Metal Slugs.

Most of the SNK people moved on they formed Dimps which made Rumble Fish, Many of the DBZ Budokai games and the GBA sonics/Sonic Rush.
The others are with Arc System works or formed other companies.
