Koei recently announced an RPG game for the Wii called Opoona. I said: "finally, an RPG for the poor Wii". After I saw the screens I was disappointed, I was expecting something more... serious. But after watching this video ( www.opoona.com/movie.htm) I gotta say the battles look really fun and the music is really... awesome Now I can't wait to play it.

I like it how the trailer begins all light-hearted and giddy, and then suddenly goes serious right when you're gonna stop watching.

The title looks like a good deviation from the normal Japanese RPG. I think it has the potential to be pretty awesome. I hope it comes stateside. I'm worried, though, as I don't like very many games Koei puts out other than Gitaroo Man.

That's because Gitaroo Man wasn't developed by Koei, it was just published by them. Same with this game: Arte Piazza is the developer, and Koei is just publishing it.
Remember, Koei published a version of Ys V for the Super Famicom back in the day, too... so just because it's got Koei's name on it, doesn't mean they deserve any of the real credit for it. (:

Considering how the Wii is in desparate need of games-and RPGs for that matter-this one seems like a shoo-in.

You know what's odd? The Wii's getting two extremely odd-looking RPGs, both of which begin with an O: Opoona, and the yet-to-be-unveiled "Project O". I thought Opoona WAS Project O at first, actually... but it's not! Something about the Wii and Os... O-Wii-O, Wii-O-o! -Tom
