"This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below." And it shows a bunch of text.

Yeah that's basically normal, since I don't have a style associated with it. You need to plug the link into an RSS reader, and it SHOULD work from there.

Call me a newb, but what exactly does the RSS feed allow us to do? I mean all I see is a bunch of HTML...

Basically you need an RSS reader and you copy the location of the XML file. Then whenever I update the page, the RSS reader will automatically update and notify you, showing the lead picture and a bit of text. That way you don't need to keep checking the main page.
Some of the blogs that link here note I don't have one, so I decided to get with the times. I honestly don't use them either, but I guess if it gets more people reading the site...

Well if readership ever picks up and you ever want another Mod, I'd be willing to do the job.

Just tried it out, and it works great! I'd see this could be useful for blog watchers and somesuch, idiotic as they may be. Both Firefox and Opera have in-built RSS watchers, so if you have those you shouldn't have to worry about an independant watcher.

I've got a RSS watcher on my DS... But it means nothing to me, being stuck in the dark ages and all...!

I'm using the Wizz RSS extension for Firefox. It picked up the feed on the front page automatically, and after adding it to my feeds list, it picks up all the individual articles and MP3's of the Week as expected. So far only the most recent articles are appearing (Joy Mecha Fight, Post-Mortem shooters, and Donkey Kong Goes Home) but I imagine that's just because you're still testing.
I like it. Now I can delete my antiquing bookmark.
