It used to be the Wii untill I realized that there are just a few good games for it. I would rather wait untill a few good ones came out. You should feast your eyes upon this then: www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3158107I know it's also multi-platform for the 360, but good games are good games. Besides, a lot more people are starting to talk "From-The-Ground-Up" Wii games lately, so we'll probably start seeing some third parties come in, but it most likely won't be until well into 2008.

I'm kinda burnt out on video games (so far I'm fine with my PS2 and DS), but there are some interesting things going for each of the systems. Let's just say that if someone were to give me any of the three I'd be happy to keep it. Wii has the awesome Wii sports and that's about it for now. My mom wants one, so I'll probably get her one and just use hers when I am over her house. The 360 has a lot of games I am interested in, but the Japanese support isn't so great. I tend to prefer Japanese games only because western games seem stuck in a "WWII FPS/ Army games/ GTA clones" rut. Having said that, one of my favorite companies KOEI supports the 360 (even if they just do lazy PS2 ports). The PS3 has Tekken: DR and I guess that's about it. VF5 looks gorgeous but I'm not a big VF fan and it's actually a step down from VF4:evo in terms of content (for 3x the price!). Oh, Gundam Musou looks cool. I'm interested to see where their backwards compatibility goes in the future... it would be nice playing upscaled PS2 games, but not if it means only a portion of my games will work (like with the 360).

No console war because that's all this thread is going to start, and I think it should be locked.

Honestly? I use my DS more than any other system that I own. Guess I'm wierd like that. Actually if I remember correctly a somewhat trustworthy (you know how these graph things are) for sales in Japan placed the DS as the clear highest seller..so no I would't really find that weird at all. Fixed link from aboveHmm..that's kind of a rumoured rumour but a lot of people are calling it so rumour or not I wouldn't be overly surprised if something like this happened..but damn wouldn't that really throw a wrench into the Sony Machine.

Please let this thread stop...do we really have to put up with this constant fanboyism? I get my news from other places, thanks, and I really don't need it rehashed here as well. It's like every goddamn news/rumor bit gets put up here again...and for what benefit, exactly?

PSP has Tekken DR and that isn't a rushed port either But then I'd have to buy a PSP, and playing any fighting game on that thing really doesn't appeal to me.

Figures the PS3 owner complains. Or, rather, this is all retarded and no one's interested. How many of these threads you going to start until you get that point? Oh, and please don't say you're not biased or some other inane statement along those lines. It's kind of like the racist who says he's not, but turns around and continues to be one. Actions speak louder than words... jeez, get a clue.

2 words for you man D-pad Mod Directional Pad Modification is three words, actually. Joking aside, as much as I love my PSP, it's not ideal for fighting games, d-pad mod or no. The D-pad mod helps, yes, but what if he, like myself, prefers a joystick? Or the Sega-Saturn-esque fighterpads that Capcom was putting out some while ago? Namco really should have released DR for the PS2, even if it was just an upgrade of the PSP release, a la Liberty/Vice City Stories.
