Pretty much every major gaming magazine I read would talk about SCEA's stance against 2-d games, fortunately they weren't too retarded to skip up most juggernauts like mega man or even street fighter alpha.
But yes SCEA has blocked a lot of quality RPGs from the US. I got two words for you. Soul hackers.
To this day my blood still boils about that

You know, I own the Japanese version of Soul Hackers... and honestly, it's not all that great! The canonical Shin Megami Tensei games, and even the Persona titles, absolutely blow it away. It's very definitely a mediocre title at best.

Wow. Gunner's Heaven seems to be missing from that list (and yes, I know it's been mentioned here under the title "Rapid Reload") That bizarre Naruto board game seems to be missing, as well as Advanced VG and Advanced VG 2, Nekketsu Oyako, the Gundam fighting games, that D3 Dodgeball game, Pro Pinball : The Web, Chippoke Ralph no Daibouken, some of the Super Robot Wars games, etc....

Oh yes, the list needs updating. Badly. But since the OPCFG is archive only now, it ain't happening there.
However, if the site comes back, that's one section I'm pulling out of the archive and updating.
