...that are not licensed, preferably cartridge or arcade ones? I was playing Violent Storm in mame again and I just can't get over it's awesomely silly soundtrack. I even ripped and uploaded the vocal songs from the game for your listening pleasure (and because I couldn't find the soundtrack online): -Stage 01-Stage 03-Stage 05Name EntryI know that Psycho Solider was the first video game to feature a fully original vocal song and that the SNES Tales of Phantasia and the Japanese GBA remake have a theme song sung in the intro, but are there any others?

Here are the lyrics to the Violent Storm songs I uploaded (At least as I gather):
-Stage 01
"You'll be the hero! Ohhh, wow! He's a mad man! Bringing the power home to you. Break out, Break out fighting! Everybody c'mon! Break out, mash your brain now!"
-Stage 03
"One, two, three! I'm gonna get you eventually, Everybody wanna not guild go down. I'll go straight to Shina (Shina!), and I'll be there yes I will! This world is very difficult, But I've got nothing to lose now! There's no defeat, you'll sooner die, challenge to beginning to the end! Till I rescue Shina, I'm never gonna stop (Leave my power!) Now I spend my time fighting all around, I'm a tough guy (do admit!) You think you can beat us, we got the look, also fine, just wait, I'll get even with you! (Take it all!) Ge-ge-ge-ge Get power! Check it out! Do-do-do-do Don't stop! C'mo-C'mo-C'mon, get down! Huh!"
-Stage 05
"We're free from all, lets gonna feeling high! We're free from all, till the end I'll knock you down! C'mo-C'mon, get down!"
.....I love engrish!

It's not exactly an original example, but... One Winged Angel from Final Fantasy VII? Does that fit the bill? On that same token, Otherworld from Final Fantasy X? I think that's its name... y'know, the heavy metal tune.
Oh, and many songs from most rhythm games have vocals too! BwaAaAaAaAaAaA, I think I won the Powerball! (aka, I'm just yanking your chain. ;D)

*groan* Don't remind me... Probably my favorite vocal track in a video game, ever, in the history of the universe, would be the secret disco song on Warcraft 2: Beyond the Dark Portal. I mean, yeah, it's just voice samples from the first game mostly, but it's genius!

I don't know about unlicensed songs, but Sonic R has some nice music, as well as a song or two from Sega Touring Car Championship. Then there's Nights Into Dreams and that "Rolling Start" thing from Daytona USA (if it counts). I like Parappa the Rapper's silly songs too.

I think that's its name... y'know, the heavy metal tune. I don't know if I'd call latin chanting a vocal song. NiGHTS, and Silouette Mirage have english vocal songs for the credits..... but I guess those are CDs. How about... "Let's get it on now! Select to make the first pick. Let's get it on now! 10, 9, 8, 7, 6... Let's get it on now! Choose to pick the best one! Let's get it on now! 5,4,3,2,1!" Wow... rhyming one with one. That's rap for you.

Otherworld is one of the few vocal songs out of any game I like.

I actually like the music in Marvel vs. Capcom 2, kinda reminds me of Cowboy Bebop.
