Do people even know who he is? Nobuo Uematsu is the only video game composer most people know by name.

...man, first skipping out on AX screws me with them getting Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as a guest, and now skipping out on Otakon screws me. WHY AM I POOR.

Wow, I envy whoever goes to see him. Make sure you bring your copy of Radiant Silvergun to get utographed so you can up the price even more.

Did you get to meet him? I'd kill for that opportunity. I wish the Penny Arcade Expo had guests like that. It was the first convention I've ever gone too, but the biggest celebrity they had was freakin' Wil Wheaton. :/
Oh well, I can't complain too much considering my personalized Koji Hayama autograph I got from winning a contest. :)

How was PAX? I'd love to make it there one of these years.
I used to got to Otakon semi-regularly but there's always craziness happening to me the same weekend as Otakon for these past few years. I actually don't follow anime at all anymore but it was worth it for the relatively cheap music cds and the awesome game room.

Yup! hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/pics/sakimoto.jpgHe's signing my friend's Soukyugurentai soundtrack CD. Sakimoto was very surprised when he handed it to him to autograph, and remarked in English that "This CD is very rare, I only have one copy myself." I just got my FF Tactics OST signed. I should've brought more, but oh well.

Wow, I'm so jealous. :o
PAX was pretty cool, but it's not worth traveling really far for (I happened to be close to Seattle over the summer). The exhibition hall was pretty cool. I checked out Jeanne D'Arc, Beautiful Katamari, Eternal Sonata, Fire Emblem on Wii, and other assorted stuff. The best events at the convention were the concerts. Both The OneUps and the Minibosses put on terrific shows. I sort of ignored everything else at PAX. I only spent a few hours tops at the convention center over the course of the 3 day weekend.
