Nope, you are not the only one.
Ganon's first form and the escape from the tower were the two best songs in the game.
I also liked the music when you are in the Deku Tree.

The best songs In OoT were the horribly warbled renditions of Pet Shop Boys music I'd play on the ocarina.

I suppose the soundtrack to the game can be overrated at times though and that's sure to attract lots of negative attention.
You see.... the sound quality is pretty bad. The volume on all the music is very low... and there's not alot of songs that have "energy" to them. Lots of ambient, dungeon music. Typical of a Zelda game of course.... the main theme was wonderful but to really enjoy it you need to listen to one of the (many) remixes out there, big band, orchestra, whatever. And the other themes are very memorable... but not something I would burn onto CD (lost woods, zelda's lullaby... all tracks I'll never forget, but the same can be said for most radio jingles). Same goes for Twilight Princess.... loved the main theme (the overworld area) but the rest of the game.... I don't even remember the music.

God, I hated that game and the Soundtrack. I still have a copy of the soundtrack if anyone's interested in it, just send me a message.

Yeah, it can be hard to get over the audio quality of Ocarina of Time, but most people never notice the difference anyway because they're blind Zelda fanboys. There are definitely some nicely composed tracks, but it's unfortunate that many of my favorite tracks are so short, like the various ocarina songs. It was still worth picking up the soundtrack, though, especially since I got the opportunity to get the official Japanese release for just 10 bucks. At the very least, it was worthwhile for the cool art and sticker. :P

I like the soundtrack quite a bit, much more than the Twilight Princess songs. Twilight Princess' soundtrack is great but it only works in the context of the game itself. The earlier Zelda games have fantastic melodies all around that make for a much better cd experience.

I'd attribute that to the lack of Kondo in the recent Zelda titles. I don't understand why Nintendo keeps giving out its biggest franchises to no-name composers that are adequate at best.

Only song I really liked was Ganon's second form.

Joker still lives on through this topic. I wonder if he still visits this place as a guest.
