Either the guys at Ign live in an alternate dimension where the only 8-bit system available was the NES or this is another "unbiased" chart focusing only on the american audience. IGN lives in the same dimension as the rest of the proffessional gaming media, where the SNES represents the peak of 2D graphics and by which all future 2D graphics are refered to as ( 2D PS2 games displaying thousands of colors have "neat SNES graphics").Hmm, I dunno, TG16 MIGHT qualify, considering it was only the graphics processor that was 16-bit. Assuming the sound was done by the main CPU, it could be considered 8-bit. Unless they just meant "8-bit" systems, but I'm sure I'm thinking through these semantics way more than they did. When people refer to 8-bit or 16-bit games, they're talking about a generation. The TG-16 is every bit as much a "16-bit" console as the Genesis and SNES. Technically, the Intellivision is a "true" 16-bit console, but nobody's going to try to lump it in with the Genesis & SNES. As mentioned above, IGN doesn't consider the SMS a real system, so "8-bit" = "NES".

Nobody mentioned the Gameboy version of Robocop :/ Toe-tappingly good stuff that; the title theme was even used in a washing machine advert in the UK I believe
