I no longer need help with the Gunbird article. I have everything under control now. Thanks!

If no one reserved Martian Gothic Unification, I'll try to make an article about it. Screenshots for Alone in the Dark are around the corner, Kurt.

Almost done with Conquest of the Crystal Palace. Sent my near final draft off to someone who's a fan of the game to their opinion on it. After that I'll do some final revisions and send it in.
If no one's claimed Akira for the NES, I'll do that next. Having helped get the game into English, I have thoroughly hacked the game and tested it several times. The experience is still very fresh in mind and has left an after taste of shit in my mouth. Sad to say, but it looks like the best Akira game is the pinball one.

I was wondering, would anyone be interested in me submiting/reworking a piece on a PC 98 Space Harrier clone that's almost impossible to play ?
It's called Alantia, and it's the only shooter ever where you can't run or fire straight and have to be moving to be able to shoot, so when you stop, you can't do anything.
It's alot tougher then it sounds.

[...] it's the only shooter ever where you can't run or fire straight[..] You can't fire straight in Phobia II (Windows and Linux), and I'm sure that's not the only one.

Let me rephrase this: the only shooter where you can't shoot or move straight, and 70 % of the enemies come at you straight. Except when you jump up and shoot down, which has never shot anything when I tried it. It's realy very iritating

I'm dealing with the Atlantia article. It was made by Cross Media Soft, the same guys behind Nueral Gear, another Space Harrier style game. I'm a little familiar with thier stuff, so it should not be too hard to write about.

Quick question: Is anyone doing or finished an article on Hang-On?
I was reading through the site and I know Kurt is a big fan of old Sega games, but I noticed Hang-On was missing oddly enough. As a Sega fan myself, especially of Yu Suzuki's games, I thought it be interesting to cover the series.

Go for it.
It'd probably be worth covering the other motorcycle based Sega arcade racing games that don't have Hang-On in its name...GP Rider is one, I think.

Enduro Racer is another, isn't it?

See, I'll cover GP Rider and Racing Hero with probably Manx TT Superbike but I'm not too sure on Enduro Racer. Yeah, sure it plays a lot like Hang-On but the thing holding me back on it is the Master System version is completely different and I think would be better covered as a separate entry. But that's just me.

If it's a port of the same game, it has to be in the same article. And it can be quite interesting if the two versions are very different.

Yeah, Master System Enduro Racer feels a lot like a 3/4 perspective take on Zippy Race.
It's also amusing the ways in which SMS Hang-On differs from the arcade version -- these differences give it a feel much closer to Pole Position.

Bit of a question: would it be possible to create a group to include all the stuff covered for PC 98 and X68000 ? Especialy the latter there's several games I ran across you're not directly linked to by other X68000 software articles. Posting this here because this sort of doesn't realy warrant a thread, plus I was told not to make too many new ones in this secton, so.....
