It's mentioned in the closing paragraph. Not the dick part! Well, this game is rude. Here's what I got after I beat the 2nd loop of the Hyper mode: Does anyone know what it says after the insult?

I love Gynoug and hope it would get alot more recognition then it does. Anyway, the article doesn't mention the name of the designer and I wasn't able to find out who that may reffer to. Could anyone shed some light on that ? Also you made me hope for another Cho Aniki game for awhile

You know what I'm suddenly reminded of? That Cho Aniki might have been influenced by the tetsuo Iron Man films. I watched the latter half of the first one - it was weird and creepy, and featured a mechanical penis. I did a quick search of the Cho Aniki article and couldn't find it being mentioned. Not the best picture: Image taken from: www.badmovies.org/othermovies/tetsuo/

The game's credits says the designers are Hisami Takizawa and Satoshi Nakai (WINDS). In the USA version, the Hisami name was changed to Hisako.

I remember Gynoug being in this UK-written guidebook for Genesis games that I had in my childhood (and still do). It blew my mind when I read off of Wikipedia that the game had the same artist as Cho Aniki, but it made sense, too. That message you get in Hyper Mode is just rude! Talk about getting crap past the radar.
I may be wrong, but I think there's a new Tetsuo movie, and one of the characters is voiced by the guy that played the hero in Silent Hill 4. Mind = blown.

Wait, so is the "Fuck you" in the US version or the Japanese version? If that's actually in the US version, that's just crazy. :o

It's the Japanese version. The game has 4 difficulty levels with 2 loops each, for a total of 8 ending messages. The USA/Euro versions have different messages from the J version.
