Hello there. This may seem like an easy question that Google could answer, but the people here seem more reliable than search results. Having said that, is there a way to play Japanese Saturn games on an American unit? I think I've heard people mention "swap disks" for it in the past, but maybe not. If that's an option, which one should I look for? Are they easy to find? How much should I expect to pay for one?
If swap disks aren't an option, is there a Saturn emulator that works akin to the PSX, in that you can load ROMs from your hard drive, but could also play the game straight from the CD? If so, which program should I be looking for, and what kinks might it have to getting it to run?
As some background information, this whole situation is the result of my girlfriend being the coolest person on earth. I came home early the other day from work, and while she was out of the room, I saw that she had some searches up on her computer. She had been looking to get me Radiant Silvergun for Valentine's Day. That definitely qualifies as a "zomg" moment. The only issue is that, for what you'd have to pay to get a decent copy of that game, I don't currently have a way to play it. I'd love to have the title as a part of my ever-growing collection, but it's really hard to justify her spending that kind of money on something that would have no functional use.
So...does anyone have any advice? Many thanks in advance.

The best emulator is SSF, it can play isos (from a virtual drive) and real CDs.

Would anybody be willing to trade me an Action Replay for any of the games I have up for sale? I kind of don't have money and I want one of those real bad...

For keeping back up data, I find that the action replay is garbage.
It tends to randomly wipe the data on it for no reason at all. Great for imports, though.

I have never had that problem, and mine is the older one. I have had it for 5 years, maybe more, and I had to do the solder fix to allow 1 meg games to boot. Perhaps, you have a shitty cart my friend.

Could be, though I remember hearing that they do that sometimes under certain situations(if left in the system when turned on or something).
Either way, it's lame. I pretty much need it when I have a Dragon Force campaign going, since it takes up an obscene amount of memory(250+).

I shelled out for another memory card, and I always back up the big files just in case. I wish there were faqs on installing more internal memory.
