Most fighting girls are hotter than Mai, I think. I always preferred Vanessa (KOF 2000)... EXALT!!! I mean, I do really like Mai... she IS the original SNK asskickin' babe... but suspenders/short shirt/tie/red freaking hair all form one big win together. And she's a boxer character too, which is rather unlikely. You'd expect them to have big muscles, but 'Nessa's slender arms can really dole out the ouchiness. Ahhhhhh... As for RS, I seem to have a thing for Natsu (i.e., females that are taller than me) and Kyoko (as glasses just rule). Akira's also cute, and by my logic, cute = hot. Oh man, I am a dork. ;D Really, the only not-hot females I can think of are the Goketsuji twins from Power Instinct.

Yeah, the thing about Mai is that she's much more attractive and likable in the Fatal Fury games than in King of Fighters. The transition to KoF turned her into an annoying slutty wench. o_O

Lucia from Final Fight 3 would've been cooler, even though she technically looks a bit too much like King...but she wasn't in CvS 2, was she? King was in both CvS games, actually.

I think I can say Akira from this game is the only video games based character I have ever tried to get a hair-cut based on... And she was a girl Possibly says a lot about me that... Anyways, I totally love the series- I mean, the synchronised swimming super move alone sells it

I've been playing Rival Schools and Project Justice a little, and I've got a question: How do the endings work exactly?
My theory is that on the arcade disk, every character has their own, non-animated ending, and on the Evolution disc, there are only 2 endings, but they're fully animated.

On Rival Schools (Arcade USA) you get a good and a bad ending per character. Bad ending boss is Raizo, good ending boss is Hyo.
On Project Justice (Dreamcast USA), you get one ending per school.
If anyone knows about any other endings, let me know.

In Rival Schools, you need to play as characters from the same school, so you can't get any if you play as Sakura. You also get more story between levels.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, but I was wondering where your avatar's from, bobinator.

No problem! It's from an arcade game called The First Funky Fighter. It's basically video Whack-A-Mole crossed with bootleg Fist of the North Star and pure badassery.

You rip sharks to shreds and expose their intestines.

So I take it the gameplay is more than just shallow?

Of course, you just whack at the enemies whackamole style. But it's fun to try just for how crazy it is.

Kyosuke is totally my favorite character in the games. Though you are probably right about his use. This was one of the few fighting games I ever really got into. I was pretty obsessed with it in high school. I think I have the soundtrack on cd and one of the inserts for the arcade cabinet. Oh and unless you are talking about a new comic book, one already came out a few years ago. www.comicvine.com/rival-schools-united-by-fate-/37-113141/I have one of the issues somewhere but they were really hard to get a hold of (and I worked at a comic book store at the time).

I just wanted to say that I loved the author's description of Momo. As much as I've played Project Justice over the years, I've always viewed Momo as an evil "anti-loli" and it's nice to know I'm not the only one who views her as such.
