What would be the best way to play the Sengoku Ace games on a console? I don't have a Japanese or European PS2 or Saturn. I'd really like to own these games! Well, except for that fugly PSP version.

You don't need a Japanese or European PS2 or Saturn to play these games. There's ways around playing them with any model Saturn or PS2, you just need an ST Key for the Saturn and some kind of import software for the PS2, like Swap Magic. The PS2 would be ideal since both games are available for it. Only Sengoku Ace 2 is available for Saturn.

Sidenote: I believe Ayin also appeared as a secret character in a couple of the Gunbird games.

Odd.. they used the artwork from the PSP game... which the main character at the forefront of that artwork isn't in.

And in Taisen Hot Gimmick, yeah. The spelling is different each time though. A few of the Sengoku Ace characters appear on some of the games. Koyori and Kain appear on the first two arcade iterations (alongside Marion from Gunbird) while Junis appears on the fourth one (alongside Yuan Nang from Gunbird and Kashon from Sol Divide), all as hidden opponents. There's also two all-stars kinda titles from the franchise (Integral and Mix Party) which just have some of them (only Koyori and Marion from what I remember) as regular opponents. And they get nekkid. Yeah. Kinda unexpected from them but hey, this is the same company that added fanservice-y stuff to a freakin' World War II shmup.

Does anyone know who all of the artists who provided art for the fandisk were? I recognize some of the artwork, but I'm not sure who did what. Some of that art looked like it was drawn by Range Murata.

I believe picture 7, the one with Junis, Koyori and Hagane was made by Shin'ichi Hiromoto, cult illustrator and mangaka with a very crude and angular style.

In case you wanted to update, Tengai is also available on Android and iOS. To avoid bumping another topic, Strikers 1945 II is also on Android.
