Given your new avatar, I have to ask have you played ASW's Fist of the North Star game? No arcade near me has it. I MUST play it eventually I'm going to either build or buy a Super gun and get an Atomiswave to play it or hope to god they port it to PSP. Accent Core is a worthy sequel It has anything sequel need except for new sprites still more of the same it doesn't even have any new characters

He's close to 200 years old. He was turned into the prototype Gear in 2014-2016. It wasn't until 2073-2074 that the second Gear, Justice, was created. That marked the start of the 101-year Holy War. The games take place in 2180-2181. I should mention that I got much of this kind of story-related information from the FAQs and translations of Edward Chang of the defunct website thegearproject.org. www.gamefaqs.com/features/recognition/1969.html?type=1web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.thegearproject.org/I've played through the story modes of GG and GGXX and read the translation of GGX+'s. I've read along to translations of the first 4 (of 7) drama cds while listening to them. I read summaries of the 2 novels. I read scanslations of the 1st chapter of the manga. Feel free to ask me any other questions about the games' story or character backgrounds.

Hokuto no Ken is geting a port to the PS2 in 2007 (and a balanced version, because like every new fighting game ever, the originla game is broken).
And GG Accent Core may not have new characters, but it has lots of gameplay upgrades, lots of changing in the characetrs and new gourges backgrounds. So it's still a worthy sequel.

Nope, 3rd strike was a new version that primary meant to balance the game (and along they way they also added few gameplay upgrades and characters), Like GGX2 Reload. GG Accent Core is a sequel.

1. You just lost out on a heap of awesome games.
2. Isn't it more like Street Fighter 3 than just Third Strike?

I'm aware of all the Games I'm missing out on, If I get a PS2 now I'll be collecting games for the rest of my life.
Balance Changes, New Backgrounds and select Screen does not a sequel make, is Ino still the boss in Accent Core?

Balance Changes, New Backgrounds and select Screen does not a sequel make, is Ino still the boss in Accent Core? It's not just balance changes (GG Slash is already a very balanced game), It's also big changes in the gameplay. There are some huge changes in the characters (like Potemkin buster in the air or mist refiner level 9), there are new stuff for the general system (Force Break, Throw break, Slash Back, new kind of knockdown, the option to cancel air attacks into air dash and more). And not everything is revealed yet.

Cool. I just noticed a couple of little things. There is an extra period at the end of Zato's profile and a missing one at the end of Kliff's. Also, that outdated note on Slash is still at the end of the article. Here's a clean image of the PS2 cover for Slash. sega.jp/ps2/ggxxs/images/package_l.jpg

WIVE FWOM YOUR GWAVE!
I'm just reading the article (trying to catch up on all the articles I missed so far) and it's a great read. In the GGX section, though, I've found something slightly off. It says: "Kliff and Judgement are gone entirely." but in the character section I can't find any Judgement, only Justice. Did you mean her?
Edit: - And for Guilty Gear X2 #Reload it only mentions that name, but shouldn't it also list the Japanese name Guilty Gear XX #Reload, just like it did for XX and X2? - And why does X2#Reload get its own entry, while XPlus doesn't, even though both are mentioned to be just minor updates? (this one's just nitpicking, but I'm curious) - One of the pics for XX Slash is subtitled as "GG Isuka" and one of the screenshots reads "Japanese cover" - The name of the GBA game is GG Advance Edition, not just GG Advance. - The first sentence for GG X2 calls it a "Champion Addition". Is that supposed to be a pun, or just a typo when you were going to say Edition?
