I really like your article about those wierd compile puzzle games, better known as Puyo Puyo. Last week I managed to buy the original MSX version from eBay and I recieved it yesterday! And I noticed that (contrary to your article) it actually has a 2 player mode as well! Before I saw it on the box, I couldn't remember it, because it is long time ago since I played the game on my MSX. BTW: I can make a scan of the box if you like to put on this site!

For some reason I can't get into Puyo Puyo games. Same thing with most Tetris type of puzzle games. Beside Tetris, I could only really get into playing Puzzle Bobble (not so much anymore) and Magical Drop games. Then there was some arcade game by Konami, which name I don't remember. Your thoughts on Tetris type games? I personally think Tetris type of games not being puzzling enough or something.

MP83: I think you might be referring to Konami's Taisen Puzzle-dama series.

Most probably it was one of the games from that series. I could play the other ones. Thanks.

Here's one thing I'm curious about: In Puyo Puyo 2, what would be the way to get as few EXP as possible in order to fight the extra enemies on the lower floors?

Shouldn't Minna de.../Puyo Pop GBA be on here too? Even though it was developed by Sonic Team, its still the last game set in the old Compile Madou Monogatari universe.

Due to its release date we've categorized it as a separate game that will be covered in the next update.

Could be argued for either way, but the need to balance amount of content between parts was the ultimate decider. Aside from Minna de Puyo Puyo, there's also the entirety of Nazo Puyo (which is a much bigger thing than we knew when the old article was written).

The images aren't showing for the new Nazo Puyo pages. Checking the source it seems the problem is back slashes are used in the URLs instead of forward slashes.

Haha, that's what I get for testing only on competent browsers My internet connection is garbage right now, too, so I can't do anything. Will fix tomorrow unless someone else does it faster.Turns out I couldn't sleep until the connection was properly working again. Should be fixed now.

In case it's worth mentioning in the article, I got a message on Tumblr from someone passing along some images of a licensed PC version of Puyo Puyo from 1995 called Qwirks. Apparently, Alexey Pajitnov was somehow involved with it.

The "backslash in the image URL" problem happened again with the new pages. Also the "Page 9" link instead says and goes to Page 8.
