I want to check out the new Shadowrun game, but I don't know if my puny computer could handle it or not. D: I can't give you any solid advice on that, but I can say that it doesn't eactly need a state-of-the-art gaming rig. I think I even played the prologue on my wife's standard netbook (don't know how that would have fared with the bigger fights later on, though. I forgot to mention that the screenshot to the right of the paragraph about the canceled PC Shadownrun action game from '98 looks familiar to me, yet I'm certain I've never seen it before. Weird. It does resemble the promo art of Joanna from Perfect Dark.

Yeah, that's probably where I got that from. Thanks!

Regarding the music in Shadowrun CD, I'm pretty sure the percussion samples and maybe some instruments like the bass in the intro use the Sega CD chip. Kinda agree on the repetitiveness of the in-game tracks from what I've played, but the intro track is great.

Sorry for the 6-month-plus bump, but are there any plans to update the Shadowrun Returns part of the article to include Dragonfall and Hong Kong? (I'm guessing it would be after Hong Kong comes out so that it can be handled in one fell swoop.)

Yeah, probably then. I wanted to write about Dragonfall when it came out, but then shortly after there was the standalone version with added content and I just never got around to replaying it.
