Hello,
I'm currently trying out some Master System games on Kega Fusion.
As I don't know how accurate the sound chip emulation is, does anyone else know if the sound is supposed to be like this?

You have FM synthesis turned on. Many Master System games utilized this feature in Japan, even games that were never released there, but since any non-Japanese system lacks the hardware, it plays in PSG. There's probably an option in KEGA somewhere to disable it.
Some argue that the FM synth is "better" but personally I think it's very low quality, and greatly prefer the PSG synth.

Hmm, I have the options for - 22K and 44K sound - SuperHQ - Filter - Overdrive
Set is 44K and SuperHQ.
Is SuperHQ the FM synthesis?

Nah, SuperHQ is something else.
What I think you need to do is go to Set Config, then under the SMS/GG tab, click the "Disable YM2413FM".

It's low quality in terms of FM, especially compared to the FM sound on the megadrive, but i think it sounds better than the bleeps and bloops of the standard sound chip. Only problem i run into is that when playing games i played a lot back in the day, like Wonderboy 3, i prefer the bleepy noises as that's what im used to.
