Pixels for me, I want to see the source image bigger, not have the emulator try to create new image information that isn't there.

Those aren't pixels, they're rectangular entities used to render pixels.

That's why bilinear interpolation is cool, it doesn't actually alter/distort the original image or ad pixels like some other filters do, it merely blurs the image slightly much like an actual TV would.

It's not altering it in the same sense as filters like 2xsai or Eagle do, where they actually ad pixels to the image changing the look completely.
And like i said before, if you hook a console up to a tv it gets blurred anyway so a bilinear filter is very similar to playing the original hardware.

I don't think a blinear filter looks anything like a console running on a real CRT. Bilnear filter just blurs the whole screen, making everything indistinct.
I dunno, I have a small CRT on my desk right next to my monitor, and the difference between bilinear filter and running the console on a CRT is a world apart.
